Unlock Collaboration Delegation!

A ground breaking new approach defined as a fluid process of a conversation, discussing someone’s “approach” to a task or project and working in collaboration, not just “handing off” tasks or projects.

What is Collaborative Delegation?

Before we get into this. We need to learn its opposite: Transactional Delegation. Defined as a more when you "hand-off" tasks to your delegate. This style is focused on having a conversation at the start and then checking in at the end of the task.

You might:
1. Give some context
2. But still hand off tasks and ultimately you leave it to the individual.

Avoid this style of delegation if you can or use in rare fast paced situations only.

What is Collaborative Delegation?

Collaborative Delegation is a fluid process of a conversation, discussing someone’s “approach” to a task or project and working in collaboration, not just “handing off” tasks or projects.

Trained Collaborative Delegators carefully pick what, when and how much to delegate according to a person’s preference or skill set, the type of task and the situation.

They also skilfully communicate what you delegate and follow up with someone, using coach-like and guiding language.

You can train managers on a 4 step process.
